Seattle (AP) - Two years ago when Robbie Cowgill and Washington State came to play a non-conference game in Seattle for the first time, only 5,000 fans showed up. December 18, 2007 - The 2007 AT&T Cougar Hardwood Classic will feature a contrast of styles. The Washington State Cougars make the short trip to Seattle bringing with them a stingy defense and will go head to head with the high powered offense from The Citadel Bulldogs. The Cougars feature the third ranked scoring defense in NCAA Division 1 only allowing 52.4 points per game. That defense will be tested by a Citadel team that has the fourth highest total of points scored in a single game this season, scoring 131 versus Daniel Webster on November 9th. More »

STUDENTS, WEAR YOUR CRIMSON AND GRAY! The Third Annual AT&T Cougar Hardwood Classic is almost here! The first 1000 students get in for FREE with a valid student ID. Students will be directed to a special WSU student entrance at the KeyArena East Doors the day of the game. Each student will receive one game ticket for a reserved seat. Once the 1000 ticket allotment has been fulfilled students will still be welcome at the game for only $5 per student. Student tickets are not available for pick-up in advance. Seattle, Wash. - November 28, 2007 - AT&T’s wireless operations today announced an agreement to become the official title sponsor of the 2007 Cougar Hardwood Classic. The Cougar Hardwood Classic is an annual Washington State University men’s college basketball game that is the highlight of the Cougar’s schedule. PULLMAN, Wash. - December 5, 2006 - Derrick Low scored 22 points to help Washington State upset No. 18 Gonzaga 77-67 on Tuesday night and improve one of the best starts in team history. Daven Harmeling added 20 points for Washington St. (8-1), off to its best start since the 1996-97 season under new coach Tony Bennett. Aztecs Picked to Repeat as MWC Champions in 2006-07
Las Vegas - October 26, 2006 - San Diego State men's basketball has been picked by the Mountain West Conference media to repeat as 2006-07 MWC champions in a preseason poll released by the conference Thursday morning. The selection marks the second consecutive season in which the Aztecs have been picked to win the league. Last year, SDSU went on to record a 24-9 record, including a 13-3 mark in conference action, en route to both the regular season and conference tournament titles. More »
San Diego State gives Fisher new five-year contract
San Diego (AP) - September 28, 2006 - Steve Fisher has plenty of time to try to get San Diego State its elusive first NCAA Tournament win. The 61-year-old Fisher signed a new five-year contract that keeps him with the Aztecs through the 2010-11 season. The deal includes a school option for two additional years. The new deal replaces the contract Fisher signed in August 2003, which had two years remaining. More »
