WHAT:

Northwest Sports, Inc. announces the availability of tickets for the inaugural Cougar Hardwood Classic present by Dodge. This will be a nationally televised contest between the Cougars and last years sweet sixteen team from University of Utah.

Tickets for the game will go on sale at all Ticketmaster locations Saturday, October 1, 2005. The sale will begin at 10 a.m. Tickets for lower bowl seating in Seattle’s KeyArena are priced at $45 and $24, while the upper bowl pricing is set for $18 and $12. There will be a limited number of courtside seats available for $100 & $75.

The University of Utah, a traditional Mountain West Conference power, will be a formidable opponent for WSU. Heading into the 2005-2006 season, former Eastern Washington coach Ray Giacoletti’s basketball team looks to continue its place among the top teams in the country following last seasons surprising run to the sweet sixteen. Coach Dick Bennett, heading into his third season at WSU, is looking to make a breakthrough in the PAC-10 conference and may view this game as an NCAA eliminator contest as both teams.
